If you are in the food service industry and using Chatmeter's Listing Management solution, you can now save your menus for each location in LocationHQ and Chatmeter will publish them to your Google listings.

Adding a menu
To add a menu, save it, and publish to your listings, follow these steps:
- Login to your Chatmeter account in LocationHQ.
- Go to Locations > Locations to display the Locations page.
- Select one or more locations for which you want to add or update a menu.
- Select Edit to open the locations editor.
- Select the Menus tab. If you’ve never uploaded a menu, you’ll have an option to drag and drop or browse for a menu file. If you’ve already got menus loaded, you can import another, download a menu, clear a menu, or download a template for a new menu.
- Select Download Template to access a comma-separated values (CSV) file copy of a spreadsheet for menu uploading.
- Enter your menu data into the spreadsheet in the proper format and save it to your computer. See the section Formatting guidelines for the CSV upload spreadsheet for format guidance.
Note: For importing, the file must be saved as a CSV-formatted file using UTF-8 encoding. The template downloads in the required format, so no action should be required. If you run into any formatting issues and need help, check out these instructions from WebToffee. - Drag the CSV file into the import window or select Browse to look for it on your computer.
- Use the menu preview to review your menu for accuracy. If you need to make changes, select Clear Menu, revise your spreadsheet, and upload it again.
- When the menu looks good and you're ready to save and publish, select Review Changes.
- Select Save and Submit Changes to complete the saving process. Once saved, Chatmeter automatically publishes the menu to your Google listings for the location(s). (Account proper credentials must have already been added to LocationHQ.)
Updating a menu
To update or replace a previously saved/published menu, follow these steps:
- Login to your Chatmeter account in LocationHQ.
- Go to Locations > Locations to display the Locations page.
- Select one or more locations for which you want to add or update a menu.
- Select Edit to open the locations editor.
- Select the Menus tab. Preview the menu loaded for the listing(s) and revise the menu’s CSV-formatted file.
- Select Clear Menu and upload it again.
Important: You need to upload the entire menu each time, not just the changes. You are replacing an entire menu version each time. - When you're ready to save and publish, select Review Changes.
- Select Save and Submit Changes to complete the saving process. Once saved, Chatmeter automatically publishes the menu to your Google listings for the location(s). (Account proper credentials must have already been added to LocationHQ.)
Removing a menu
To remove a menu without replacing it with a new version, simply clear the menu and save your changes. This will remove the menu from your listings as well.
Formatting guidelines for the CSV upload spreadsheet
Follow the guidelines in the table that follows when updating the CSV spreadsheet.
Note: Due to platform policies and display standards on Google they do not allow the use of special characters on the menu items. These symbols can sometimes interfere with how the menu is displayed across various devices or may not comply with there data guidelines.
