Creating Review Response Templates
Setting up response templates in LocationHQ is crucial to simplifying and encouraging consistency in responding to reviews. By indicating your favorites, you can streamline searching for frequently used templates.

As a Chatmeter Admin user or an individual with access to create templates, you are instrumental in maintaining the consistency and quality of our review responses. Your role ensures our responses are effective and aligned with our brand voice.
- Login to your Chatmeter account in LocationHQ.
- Select Reputation > Reviews, and select Templates from any review.
- Select the cog at the bottom right of the dialog window.
- Select Create Template at the top of the Review Response Templates window.
- Enter the information required in the dialog box. All fields are required.
- Template Name—An easily recognized name for the template
- Review Sentiment Type—Whether the response is intended for a Positive, Neutral, or Negative review
- Template Body—Type the text you want to appear in the response, including the merge codes you'd like to use. Merge codes are identifiers for specific information to include in the template:
- Customer full name
- Customer first name
- Business name
- Business phone number
- Select Submit. Now, you can choose Select Template to respond to a review. A 5-star thank you will be one of the selections.
